REGISTRARS:

This department is run by two part time Registrars who are elected for two year terms. The Republican Registrar is Elizabeth A. Tedeschi; the Democratic Registrar is Charles Warner. Office hours are 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday through Wednesday and Friday and 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday. They may be reached at 828-7020 or 828-7021.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

One may register in person or by mail. Mail-In applications may be obtained through the Registrar’s Office, the Town Clerk’s Office, the Motor Vehicle Department, Libraries and various Social Service Agencies. Any person who is a bona fide resident of the town, a U.S. Citizen and will be 18 years of age by November 5th is entitled to register and vote in the November election.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS:

Absentee ballot applications are available in both the Registrar of Voters Office and the Town Clerk’s Office. These are available for those persons who will not be able to get to the polls in person for the following reasons: military, absence from town, illness, physical disability, religious beliefs, and poll workers. An application must be filled out before a ballot may be issued
