The Town of Berlin, Connecticut

Country Charm at the Center of Connecticut

Senior Services

Dear Senior Residents of Berlin,
Today, Friday, March 27th finds us at the end of week two of our social distancing. I am
working remotely from home until further notice. I do have access to my email, voicemails and the Center's 860-828-7050 line is being forwarded to my home.  I am available to you Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.  As of next week we have suspend all transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores.  Most medical offices have canceled seeing patients. In regards to grocery shopping and medication pick up I am asking those of you who use our service to please rely on family, friends and neighbors to assist you.  The area pharmacies are delivering prescriptions during this time. I will be publishing a list of delivery options for groceries and prepared food delivery on this page and on social media.  Many of our area restaurants are offering delivery and curbside pick up. This allows you to not have to leave you homes or car.  Health experts are advising all seniors to shelter in place, which means stay home!  This request is in an effort to keep you all safe. Your welfare and safety is our primary concern. If you are in the need of food from the town's food pantry please contact Jaymee Miller at 860-828-7007 or if you are
unable to get groceries or medication picked up please contact me at the number listed above
during the hours listed above.  If you have an emergency during the hours I am unavailable
please call Police Dispatch at 860-828-7080.

Stay well and remember we are all in this together!
