Graduate of the University of CT with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.  Have worked in Home Health Care for most of my career,specializing in care to the senior population.  For the past 10 years I have worked with Hartford HealthCare at Home where I am the Director of Community and Government Relations.
Provide a brief personal summary (can include info about family, interests, years in the community, etc.):
I have lived in Berlin with my Husband, Eric Cope, for over 31 years.  Eric and I have been married for 36 years.  We have two sons, Ethan and Taylor. My husband and I love to work in our perenial gardens and look forward to spring each year.  Our family also includes a number of pets, three Golden Retrievers and two Ragdoll cats.   We also enjoy cars and make a yearly pilgrimage to the NY Auto show.
Other information you would like to share with the community:
Being part of the community means giving back to it, so throughout the years, I have done this through volunteerism . Some of the organizations that I have worked with  include The Junior Woman's Club of Berlin (20 years), UpBeat Community Volunteers (4 years) and The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (Dr. Lorraine G. Spranzo Scholarship Committee, 23 years )and the Conservation Committee(6 years).  I am currently working with one of my Goldens to become certified as a Pet Therapy team so that we can bring comfort to residents of area skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
